Watters shares cake with Vance, jokes fudge would be ‘too gay’
Fox News host Jesse Watters caused some buzz during a segment on The Five by replacing the conventional National Fudge Day party with a unique homemade pickle cake.Watters explained he initially considered making fudge for the occasion but decided against it, jokingly citing concerns about it being “too gay” and instead serving a layered pickle cake from Maison Pickle in New York, which features green frosting, chunks of pickle rind, and sliced pickles on top. Despite the humorous presentation and a coughing mishap during tasting, vice President JD Vance and others commented negatively on the cake. The segment included online shares, including a Twitter post showing Vance and Watters reacting to the cake’s taste.
Fox News host Jesse Watters raised eyebrows Tuesday night on The Five, sidestepping National Fudge Day on his segment called “Jesse’s Feeding Frenzy” to serve pickle cake in its place.
“I was going to do fudge, because it’s National Fudge Day, for the VP, but I thought it would be too gay, so I did pickle cake instead,” Watters said.
