Watch This Famous Abortionist Admit How He Finds ‘Medical Problems’ to Justify Any Late Abortion: ‘The Medical Problem Is That She’s Pregnant!’

He spent a career killing unborn children, and claiming it’s necessary.

Dr. Warren Hern, who devoted half a century of his life to becoming one of the country’s best-known abortionists, doesn’t mince words when it comes to defending the blood-soaked practice.

And a time when liberals are proving their enthusiasm or abortion knows no bounds, his words are worth hearing.

Pregnancy itself, Hern maintained in a 2024 interview, is medical “problem” that can endanger the lives of women, and that justifies taking the life of the child.

He was appearing on “The Michael Shermer Show” podcast promoting his memoir “Abortion in the Age of Unreason: A Doctor’s Account of Caring for Women Before and After Roe v. Wade.”

The host, a science writer and and apparently a reluctant advocate of abortion, asked Hern if he would perform an abortion on a woman presented herself at his clinic in Boulder, Colorado, in the second or third trimester of her pregnancy with no medical problems, but had simply “changed her mind” about becoming a mother.

Hern didn’t bat an eye.

“Of course,” he said. “If a woman doesn’t want to be pregnant, there’s no justification for forcing her to continue the pregnancy … That happens all the time, of course.”

Then he elaborated:

“She has a potential fatal illness, condition, that can kill her,” he said.

Shermer interrupted to say he was asking about a complication-free pregnancy — “I mean if she has no medical problems …”

But Hern made himself even clearer:

“The medical problem is she’s pregnant,” he said. “That’s a medical problem.”

Then he veered into the absurd:

“Any woman who’s pregnant is at risk of dying from that point on until six weeks after she is not pregnant,” he said.

Well, that’s certainly unarguable. She’s also at risk of dying the day after six weeks after she’s no longer pregnant. Just as the father of her child is at risk of dying from the moment of conception to the kid’s graduation from high school — and beyond.

Just as every human being alive is at “risk of dying” at any point — since mortality is the human condition and can come when it’s least expected. The fact that countless billions of women have emerged from the process over the millennia not only very much alive with but living breathing human beings to show for it proves how absurd the statement is.

But that’s not really the takeaway from Hern’s statement. It was his view that pregnancy itself is a “medical problem,” as though the process by which human life comes into existence is a complicated equivalent to the heartreak of psoriasis.

Hern retired from his blood-drenched profession 2025, 52 years after the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision that was so resoundingly overturned by the Supreme Court in 2022.

He was lauded by the likes of Ms. Magazine, of course, and sympathetically portrayed by Colorado Public Radio — radical feminists and liberal media outlets love nothing more than an abortionist who’s also good for an articulate interview.

But neither account mentions Hern’s blunt summation of his practice as treating pregnancy itself as a medical problem — and eradicating developing human beings like they were malignant tumors.

The pro-abortion side loves to wail about the “life of the mother” and imagine medical or pyschological complication to justify the abrupt end to a human life while still in the womb — what should be the safest place of all.

For Hern, the answer was simple:

“The medical problem is she’s pregnant.”

And for Hern and his pro-abortion fans, the solution is death.
