Mama June shares heartbreaking news: Daughter’s cancer is terminal.

Mama June‍ Opens ‍Up About⁣ Daughter’s Terminal Cancer Diagnosis

June Shannon, star of “Mama June: ‌From Not to‌ Hot,” has ‍revealed that she 𝅺and‍ her⁤ family are‍ facing a 𝅺heartbreaking reality.⁢ Her‍ eldest daughter,⁤ Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, has been diagnosed⁢ with ‍Stage‍ 4 adrenal carcinoma.

According to ‍Shannon, they⁣ have come‍ to ⁤terms with the⁤ fact ‌that Cardwell’s condition is⁣ terminal. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight,‌ Shannon ‍said, 𝅺“She’s Stage 4. She’s ‍not gonna 𝅺go into remission. We’ve all accepted that, so⁢ I⁤ just tell people, ‘one‌ day at‌ a ‍time,’ ’cause you never know.”

“There’s days where I don’t know (whether) to ⁢scream, get mad, or ‍be happy,” Shannon expressed ⁤during her ET interview.

𝅺

“As‍ her𝅺 mom, ‍we’ve ‌had ‌talks you don’t ‌want ⁢to have 𝅺with your ⁤child.‌ We know⁤ what the endgame is and⁤ we are⁢ prepared for that.‌ You’re never prepared, but ‌we ‌know what ⁣could happen,” she added.

In⁢ another 𝅺interview⁣ with ETOnline, Shannon mentioned that ⁢Cardwell ‌is currently handling her diagnosis remarkably⁤ well. Despite⁤ the challenges, Cardwell⁣ is still⁣ able to carry⁣ out ‍daily ⁤activities such as going⁣ to ⁤the‍ grocery store ‍and 𝅺driving herself and her children⁢ around.

However, the physical effects of the cancer ⁤are‍ evident. Cardwell⁢ has lost her hair,𝅺 eyebrows,𝅺 and body hair due to‍ the aggressive nature of the⁣ disease.

After undergoing four ⁤rounds⁤ of𝅺 chemotherapy, Cardwell’s next‍ steps ⁤remain ⁢uncertain. Shannon explained, “She just⁣ wants ‌to⁣ see⁤ how it’s gonna‍ go. We don’t know ⁤what⁣ to𝅺 expect because ⁢the cancer is very 𝅺aggressive ‍and it grew from ‍nothing⁢ to‌ something huge on the‍ left ⁤side ‌of ⁣her‌ body‍ really fast.”

Despite the difficult𝅺 circumstances,𝅺 there ⁣is always‌ hope.‍ Shannon’s ⁣daughter 𝅺Lauryn “Pumpkin” ‍Efird⁤ expressed⁤ optimism,‍ saying, ‌“Honestly, who’s not to ⁣say‍ a year𝅺 from⁤ now‌ they’ll ‍have ‌a cure? The⁣ medical ⁤field ⁤is growing every‍ single day. There’s always ‍something.”

A Tragic ⁢Past

Cardwell’s journey has ‍been marked‌ by tragedy. She⁢ was molested ⁤as𝅺 a child by a former ⁣boyfriend ⁤of𝅺 her mother, which ⁣led to ⁣their estrangement ‍and the‍ cancellation of ⁣their⁣ family’s ⁤first series, “Here⁣ Comes Honey Boo ⁤Boo.”

Reflecting on the traumatic experience, Cardwell‌ said, “When we𝅺 first met 𝅺him, he was𝅺 very, 𝅺very⁣ nice, treated all of us𝅺 girls ‍right.‍ And then, all‍ of a ‍sudden, one day, he ⁤just rubbed⁣ my⁢ leg. And then𝅺 all of a sudden, it 𝅺just⁤ started⁤ progressing a ‌little closer ⁢to my⁣ areas.𝅺 And then ⁣I realized,‌ OK, something’s⁤ going on.”

Despite the challenges ⁢she has faced, Cardwell remains strong.‌ The 𝅺family is 𝅺rallying ‍around‍ her, hoping for ‍a breakthrough in cancer𝅺 treatment and ‌a brighter future.
