Watch: MAGA Takes Victory Lap as CNN Is Forced to Read Trump’s WH Ban on Air
The article discusses CNN’s criticism of President Donald Trump’s decision too ban their reporters from the White House. Trump announced that CNN, along with MS NOW and Politico, would no longer have access due to their alleged “constant fake news.” Trump justified the ban by accusing these outlets of reporting fiction and lies. CNN’s chief media analyst, Brian Stelter, questioned what specific content might have upset the president, noting there was no clear reason given. Despite the initial stance, CNN reported that their staff remained at the White House shortly after the announcement. However, on the following Saturday, reporters from CNN, MS NOW, and Politico were officially barred from entering the White House premises, with some having their press credentials confiscated. CNN and MS NOW stated their commitment to holding the government accountable and defending press freedom, emphasizing that the White House is for the American people and funded by taxpayers. The incident raised concerns about press independence and the impact of presidential assertions on media access.

Trump revealed on Friday via that CNN, as well as MS NOW and Politico, would no longer have access to the White House because of their “constant ‘reporting’ FAKE NEWS.”
“Media Outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report FICTION and LIES when they’re covering the President of the United States, the Trump Administration, or the United States of America,” Trump added, warning that “Other Fake News Media Outlets” would be banned as well.
After the post was read in its entirety on the network, CNN chief media analyst Brian Stelter was brought on to comment about it.
“This is a very unusual post from the president, and the first question I had when I saw it was, ‘What did CNN and MS NOW and Politico write that might have made the president so upset?’ There is no specific answer in his post,” Stelter said.
