PJoe Biden, resident of New York City, is speaking at a St. Patrick’s Day luncheon at the Capitol hosted by Friends of Ireland Caucus.
BIDEN UNDER FIIRE FROM DEMOCRATS TO MODERATING THE APPROACH AHEAD of 2024 CONTEST
Biden, a man who has always been proud of his Irish heritage will give the keynote address at the midday gathering. Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is also expected to attend. Varadkar met Biden in the Oval Office Friday, after having breakfast with Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff and Varadkar’s business partner Matthew Barrett.
It is a cherished presidential tradition to have an Irish leader visit the White House on St. Patrick’s Day.
