WATCH: Kamala Harris Has No Idea What Her Job Duties Are

Although vice presidents were not historically very important when it comes to running the country day to day, they are more prominent when an octogenarian is in the White House.

It was therefore somewhat concerning that Kamala Harris, the current Vice President, struggled to explain. “Late Night” Stephen Colbert asks her about her duties at the Biden White House.

“One of the themes of the show [Veep] is that her character, Selina Meyer, is frustrated by the sometimes vague duties of the role. It’s a high constitutional office, but does not describe what you’re supposed to be doing,” Colbert spoke. “Does that ring true? Like, what’s the actual role on a daily basis as you have found it?”

“Well, I have the great privilege of serving with Joe Biden, who is the President of the United States,” Harris replied.

“Does he understand what it’s like to be vice president?” Colbert then joked.

“He does, he does,” Harris laughed. “He really is a true partner and he understands that job,” Harris stated before going on and concluding that Biden was an “extraordinary leader. He really is.”

Colbert, to his credit, rebutted. “That’s an excellent answer and, uh, the question was, what’s the job of the vice president … and your answer is part of the job, I’m guessing?”

Harris was then able articulate an example of other duties such as attending the Munich Security Conference.

Harris has actually been given many tasks under Biden. She was appointed Biden’s border czar almost a year ago to handle the flood of illegal aliens entering the country via Mexico.

Let’s just say she failed that one.

Harris’ real duty is perhaps to be President Joe Biden’s agent of insurance against impeachment, or being removed from the 2024 ballot. She will head the ticket if he is removed.

Even a Democrat is wise enough to know that would be a total disaster — which is really saying something compared to the direction the country is currently headed.
