Singer–songwriter Jason Derulo shocked a Nebraska waiter last week by tipping him $5,000.
Derulo, born Jason Desrouleaux, left the tip for Jordan Schaffer after the star and his family dined at Charleston’s Restaurant in Omaha.

The $5,000 tip was left on a $759.99 bill, and Schaffer could not hold back his emotions.
“Serving @jasonderulo and his family is something I’ll never forget I cannot say thank you enough,” Schaffer posted in a now-viral TikTok.

“Wow, my heart is beating really fast,” Schaffer says in the video.
“You guys are really awesome, man!” Derulo replies.
“Hey, Jason, thank you!” the waiter ends the video. “You just paid for a semester at my college. I can’t say thank you enough. So, you know, I hope you and your family have a wonderful time in Omaha, and I hope you see us again.”
