Fox News interview: House Oversight Committee chair discusses his plans with Fox News

James Comer (R. Ky.), chairman of House Oversight Committee said Thursday that he was investigating claims by a think-tank executive that he believes he has access to information about Hunter Biden’s Chinese business transactions.

Comer answered questions regarding a variety of subjects in an interview with Maria Bartiromo at Fox News. Washington Free Beacon Report Gal Luft, the codirector of the Washington D.C.-based Institute for the Analysis of Global Security (IAGS), claims to have shared information in March 2019 with federal prosecutors about Biden.

“We’re reaching out to him. We’re trying to communicate. We’re setting up a call,” Bartiromo was told by Comer. Last month Luft offered to “name names” Information about Joe, Hunter and Jim Biden’s business affairs.

Luft did not provide many details but it was clear that the Free Beacon It was discovered that Hunter Biden and Luft had shared connections to CEFC China Energy. This Chinese conglomerate is the central focus of Comer’s investigation into business activities of the Biden family. Hunter Biden was paid $6 million by CEFC China for legal and consulting services for Patrick Ho (a CEFC executive accused of bribing African officials). CEFC supported Luft’s think tank. It was founded by James Woolsey (ex-CIA director).

Comer stated that he was aware Luft and had attempted to arrange meetings for Biden. Luft provided his information regarding Biden following his arrest in Cyprus for arms trafficking. Luft has denied the charges against him and has threatened to share what he knows regarding the Bidens. He says the Biden government is targeting Luft for information about Hunter Biden that he can provide to the FBI or federal prosecutors.

The Free Beacon According to reports, Luft’s attorney will send letters to Congress concerning Luft’s case. Robert Henoch, an attorney for Luft, claimed that Luft is a “whistleblower” Who is being targeted in this part of? “an attempt to discredit a witness with critical information about an ongoing congressional and DOJ investigation.”

Luft’s appearance coincides with other Biden associates starting to cooperate in the House Oversight probe.

“We’ve had three people that were involved in the Hunter Biden shady business schemes that have communicated with my committee staff this week. I think that’s a sign of good things to come,” Comer stated.
