WATCH: House Judiciary Committee set to take Bragg to task over ‘choosing to not enforce the laws’

The House Judiciary Committee is heading to New York City for a Monday field hearing on local crime.

The committee, under the direction of Rep. Jim Jordan( R-OH ), will meet at the Jacob Javits Federal Building to hear testimony from witnesses regarding” how Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s’s pro-crime, anti-victim policies have led to an increase in violent crime and a dangerous community for New York City residents ,” according to their website.

The objective, according to Rep. Laurel Lee( R-FL ), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, is to make the public aware of” the seriousness and consequence of district attorneys, like Mr. Bragg, who are choosing not to enforce the laws.”

” He made it clear from the beginning of his administration that he just wasn’t going to prosecute several crimes.” These are acts that are important to his place and the British people. Things like trespassing, assault, and resisting arrest have a significant impact on the overall health of the community. Lee and Trey Gowdy discussed irresponsible bail policies on Sunday Night in America on Fox News. ” Americans really need to believe that the criminal justice system we use is fair and that everyone will be treated similarly.” And in Mr. Bragg’s’s city, that does not seem to be the way.

In contrast, Lee acknowledged the political tones that appear to have influenced Bragg’s’s current accusations against previous President Donald Trump.

It just seems actually, just socially motivated, Lee said. We simply don’t want to convey that message to Americans.

As for the Judiciary Committee, she added,” One of our crucial responsibilities is to make sure that the criminal justice system in America is used fairly, effectively, and appropriately.” ” In situations where an issue might be appropriate for the development of future policy, it is necessary for us to perform supervision.” We want to make sure that we’re’re staying on top of all of these things, along with really highlighting the failure to uphold the law and safeguard the community from violent crime.

According to Lee, industry hearings will probably be held by the House Judiciary Committee in more cities across the country.
