WATCH: Hot Dog Hack Turns Beer-Swilling Baseball Fan Into Online Legend

A baseball fan attending New York’s Subway Series made baseball history with a hot dog hack you have to see to believe.

The unidentified fan, apparently unaware he was being videotaped, discreetly and methodically used a straw to drill a hole into a hot dog, then used the hot dog as a straw to drink his beer. The video went viral and left half of the internet disgusted and the other half in awe, with a possibly powerful correlation to gender.

“This man is ahead of his time,” tweeted Blain Crain, of The Daily Wire sports podcast Crain & Company.

Video of the man, who wore a plaid Yankees hat and is believed to have been attending Monday’s contest in the Bronx between the New York Mets and Yankees, went viral with nearly seven million views as of Tuesday morning.

Others marveled at the man’s ingenuity in combining two baseball delicacies into one glorious taste explosion.

“Let me be the public defender here,” tweeted a user called Shu. “Man took 2 delicious food objects normally eaten together. He can now slurp a joint flavor. He can nibble his straw down and continue to use it as a straw. He can keep using his right hand to write 5 star reviews of The Joker.”

Talkin’ Jake approved of the McGyver-esque maneuver.

“Two things that are delicious, yet you judge without trying it — why is that?” he tweeted.

But not everyone was in awe of the Frank N’ Stein act.

“Oh thank god my husband isn’t on twitter to see this [because] he would do something like this at the next game or family cookout,” tweeted NCarolinaKellie.

And Jomboy Media, who initially tweeted the clip and drew nearly 60,000 likes, said the stunt deserved punishment.

“Life sentence. No parole,” read the message that accompanied the clip.

The unidentified fan likely went home happy: the Yankees won, 4-2.
