After Democratic candidate John Fetterman bumbled his way through Tuesday’s Pennsylvania Senate debate, Democrats and their allies in the media struggled to cast his performance in a positive light.

“When it comes to Fetterman’s health, it really is eye of the beholder,” said NBC host Chuck Todd. “He came across that he’s healing.”

Fetterman, who suffered from a stroke in May, frequently struggled to form complete sentences during the debate.

“I do support fracking. And I don’t, I don’t. I support fracking, and I stand, and I do support fracking,” the candidate said at one point.
