California lawmakers honor ‘Drag Nun’ and porn director for community work.

California Legislature Honors Anti-Catholic Drag Queen and Porn Director

The California Legislature recently celebrated Pride Month by honoring an anti-Catholic drag queen and porn director known as “Sister Roma.” Far-left state senator Scott Wiener (D.) invited Michael Williams, aka Sister Roma, to the event and praised her work in the community. Democratic lawmakers gave her a prolonged standing ovation, while Republicans criticized her invitation.

Williams is a member of the LGBT group “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” who dress as mockeries of Catholic nuns. The Los Angeles Dodgers recently invited the “Sisters” to its “Pride Night” festivities, uninvited them, and then reinvited the group after LGBT and leftist backlash. Williams was also the longtime art director for gay pornographic films and has appeared at San Francisco’s Folsom Street Fair, where “naked men walk the streets and give (and receive) blowjobs … in front of children” and vendors sell “bondage gear for toddlers,” according to RedState.

Scott Wiener’s Controversial Stances

This is not the first time Wiener has embraced a potentially shocking cause. He has spearheaded efforts to liberalize penalties for gay pedophiles and “individuals who knowingly give HIV to sexual partners.” Last year, he sponsored a bill to decriminalize prostitution, which more than a dozen of his fellow Democrats either voted against or declined to vote on.

Despite Republican calls to revoke Williams’ invitation, all Democratic Assembly members and all but two Democratic senators voted to honor her, while multiple Senate Republicans left the chamber before Williams entered.
