Biden and Fetterman’s Press Appearance: A Must-Watch

President Biden and Sen. Fetterman’s Press Conference on Philadelphia’s Collapsed Bridge

The press conference held by President Joe Biden and Sen. John Fetterman (D., Pa.) addressing Philadelphia’s collapsed bridge was filled with unexpected and amusing moments.

During the conference, Philadelphia mayor Jim Kenney (D.) praised Biden for his efforts in helping after the bridge collapse. In response, Biden humorously remarked, “If I didn’t, I’d be sleeping alone.” He then clarified the joke by mentioning that his wife is from Philadelphia and asked, “Where are we going?”

Both Biden and Fetterman have had their fair share of gaffes in the past. Biden famously forgot the words of the Declaration of Independence during the 2020 campaign and has stumbled while reading numbers in speeches. He even took a hard fall at the Air Force Academy graduation earlier this month.

Fetterman, on the other hand, faced a stroke in May 2022, which kept him off the campaign trail for three months. He also checked himself into Walter Reed Medical Center in February for “severe” clinical depression but made a successful return to the Senate after six weeks.

During the introduction of Rep. Brendan Boyle (D., Pa.), Fetterman mistakenly referred to him as “Congressman Boyle Bile.” However, Boyle gracefully ignored the mispronunciation and introduced himself correctly.
