Washington Post reporter Ben Terris recently reflected on asking Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) about his virginity during an interview. Terris used the moment to promote his upcoming book, “The Big Break: The Gamblers, Party Animals, and True Believers Trying to Win in Washington While America Loses Its Mind.” Scott, who recently announced his bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, had spent his young adult life preaching abstinence until marriage. Terris asked the question to see if Scott had followed his own advice.
