Breaking News: Donald Trump Found Liable for Battery and Defamation in E. Jean Carroll Trial

The verdict is in: former President Donald Trump has been found liable for battery and defamation in a civil trial brought forth by writer E. Jean Carroll. The jury, made up of six men and three women, deliberated for over two and a half hours before reaching their decision.

Carroll’s Claims

Carroll claimed that Trump sexually assaulted and raped her in a Bergdorf Goodman department store dressing room in Manhattan in the mid-1990s. She also claimed that he defamed her when she went public with the accusation in 2019.
