Joe Biden gets snubbed by the Vatican

At a press conference, Karine Jean-Pierre, Press Secretary of the Holy See revealed that Joe Biden is allegedly Catholic. 

As the Catholic News Agency reported: 

According to the White House press secretary, President Joe Biden will not attend the funeral of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI this Thursday.

Karine Jean-Pierre responded to Owen Jensen’s question on January 3rd, with EWTN News. “the U.S. ambassador to the Holy See, Joe Donnelly, will represent the United States at the funeral of the pope in line with the wishes of the late pope and the Vatican. This is what their requests were.”

The Vatican’s press office has confirmed that only two official state delegations — from Italy and Germany — were invited to the funeral of the late pope emeritus, which will be held on Jan. 5.

Although only two heads of states were invited, it would seem that the second was more important. “Catholic” This would include any president from the U.S. 

Pierre’s language makes it seem as if Biden wasn’t attending his funeral because he was asked by the Pope. However, it’s not clear.
