An Abortion-Obsessed Culture Guarantees Is Abuse And Suffering

A 19-year-old University of Houston football star is charged with assault of a pregnant woman, a third-degree felony in Texas, after he allegedly attacked his pregnant girlfriend over her refusal to abort their baby.

When 275-pound Carmello Brooks learned his girlfriend was pregnant but did not plan to take an abortion pill, he allegedly “squeezed the woman’s arms, picked her up, slammed her to the ground and sat on her, pinning her down.”

The girlfriend, Nariah Harley, later claimed that Brooks “did not hit me whatsoever” and expressed concern that the charge would interfere with his football career. Police, however, documented “visible injuries” to Harley including at least one bruise on her arm.

This isn’t the first time Brooks reportedly clashed with a pregnant woman. In August, the Katy, Texas native racked up one charge of criminal mischief for allegedly damaging a door handle during a separate skirmish with a high school acquaintance and her sister. Reports indicate Brooks “went to the woman’s home to speak with her after she became pregnant” but “became verbally aggressive and he allegedly tried to leave with the woman’s keys.”

It’s no secret that abortion is an easy tool for cowardly and sexually degenerate men, predators, abusers, and child traffickers to exploit for their gain. Mail-order abortifacients only make it easier for men, even those in states where abortion pills are outlawed, who don’t want to shoulder their role as a father and potentially husband to initiate the end of a pregnancy with a few clicks.

Sometimes, that termination is executed against a mother’s will or without her knowledge. One study found that 70 percent of abortions are believed to be unwanted, coerced, or inconsistent with the mother’s values and desires. Women like Harley who show resistance to such tactics are punished with abortion pill poisoning, assault, and even murder.

Earlier this month, Ohio doctor Hassan Abbas struck a plea deal that reduced his jail time to six months for force-feeding his pregnant girlfriend Jona Affholder abortion drugs he mail-ordered under his estranged wife’s name. Not only did the mifepristone cause Affholder to lose her baby, but she also hemorrhaged so bad that she ended up in the emergency room.

“My ex-boyfriend made a choice. He chose deception over honesty, force over consent. And to violate two human beings, me and my baby. No woman should endure this. And no society that values women’s safety should look away,” Affholder wrote in an op-ed after the incident.

Even those women who aren’t coerced or forced into abortion like Affholder was are susceptible to the physical and emotional harmed linked to abortion, especially mifepristone. More than one in 10 women who take the prolific abortion pill suffer serious additional complications such as hemorrhage or infection. The risk of experiencing a life-threatening event linked to the abortion drug is at least 22 times higher than what the FDA and Danco claim.

One peer-reviewed study from Charlotte Lozier Institute scholars found that the hundreds of thousands of women who down those abortion pills each year don’t feel fully informed about its side effects. Mifepristone manufacturer Danco admitted to the 5th Circuit earlier this year that it is more concerned about profits than the harm its abortion drugs are inflicting on women and babies.

Democrats spend much time and effort downplaying abortion’s links to harm and abuse. They disguise the horrors of abortion and pro-abortion culture behind euphemisms and illusions of “choice.”

Corporate media further victim blame by casting responsibility for abortion and pregnancy-linked violence on states’ pro-life protections instead of the perpetrators. In reality, it’s the normalization of abortion extremism and the devaluing of unborn human life that paves the way for bad faith actors to take advantage of women and their babies. Those who don’t comply are punished.
