Democrats Openly Declare Plans To Infiltrate Rural America

Democrat elites despise rural voters. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels paved the way for their contempt by writing in The Communist Manifesto that the migration from small communities to large urban centers has “rescued a considerable part of the population from the idiocy of rural life.” Nearly 200 years later, it seems there is a migration in reverse, with elites invading the hinterlands to “rescue” rural folk from their continued idiocy.

One case in point is the recent episode at Wydaho Roasters, a coffee shop in deep-red Idaho, owned by a pro-abortion couple from deep-blue St. Paul, Minnesota, Jim and Mary Sheehan. Jim Sheehan has said his coffee house welcomes everyone. But in mid-August, when a pro-life group met there to quietly discuss how to defeat Idaho’s Proposition 1, a referendum that would allow abortions up to 24 weeks gestation, when babies are over a foot long and can survive outside the womb, Sheehan kicked them out. Kristan Hawkins, leader of the group of more than a dozen pro-lifers, posted a video of the incident:

Sheehan compared the pro-life group to the Ku Klux Klan and said he worked to get pro-abortion candidates on the ballot in the state. Wydaho Roasters is located in the town of Driggs, Idaho, in the Teton Valley. National Geographic has rated Driggs as a top recreation location in America, which makes it a Mecca for white, affluent leftists. If you study the voting patterns and census information of Driggs, it’s clear the town has been overrun by leftists over the past 20 years.

Democrats Aim to Control Local Governments in Conservative Places

Another example of leftist scorn for rural folks is the case of a camouflaged liberal in conservative Shenandoah County, Virginia, just 90 minutes west of Washington, D.C. He ran as an “independent” candidate for the county board of supervisors in 2019 and lost by a close margin to a Republican. Below is part of his Facebook response (since deleted but at least partially preserved in a screenshot) to Shenandoah County Democrats, who supported him and thanked him for running:

The outward push from the metropolis near us is inevitable and unstoppable. The “deplorables” in our county know this … and they hate it … but in our lifetime … they will be politically outnumbered. You and our collective group of educated, intelligent, economically successful friends who already live here are sort of the “pioneers” in advance of this imminent movement … until the main force arrives.

And why are they choosing such rural areas to buy homes, weekend getaways, and retirement havens? He explained:

People like you and me who currently live in and around NOVA [Northern Viginia suburbs of Washington, D.C.] want to be here … they want nice homes they can afford in this spectacular geography … where they can still easily get back to their favorite stores and restaurants in the city when they want to.

Indeed, the geography is spectacular in the Shenandoah Valley locale of Shenandoah County, Virginia, just as it is in the Teton Valley locale of Teton County, Idaho. Democrats love the pastoral and mountain views of rural areas, even though they detest the “deplorables” who live there. As they buy up the affordable real estate, they make those nice homes less affordable for the locals.

It’s a depressing look at a manipulative mindset. But it’s useful to have it laid out clearly in such hot-mic moments.

The Left’s Supremacist Attitude Is Nothing New

Democrats certainly have a messaging problem in small town and rural America. They can’t seem to hide their contempt, though they may try at times. But the left is very organized, and their outward contempt will not cost them in the midterms if conservatives in those areas do not show up to vote. This is especially true in local elections where turnout is notoriously low. Low conservative turnout is the low-hanging fruit that allows Democrat invaders to take over red areas. According to Ballotpedia, there are many such battlegrounds for municipal elections this year, particularly in Texas.

Keep in mind that these Democrat elites, who are overwhelmingly white, are not the only ones involved in the leftward push toward the meaninglessness of elections and the erasure of American ideals. Most recently, they are joined by pseudo-conservatives such as Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett, whose recent decisions for open borders, birthplace citizenship, and counting votes after Election Day will help Democrats win in rural areas as well as in the cities.

Also joining them is a cadre of blatantly anti-American communists running for Congress, led in part by New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, jihadists like Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, affluent white suburban leftist women, white beta males who perhaps adjust their political opinions with the hopes of getting laid by the former, and high school and college students who are indoctrinated and peer-pressured to fall in line with all of the above. Due to low conservative voter turnout, a motley mix of invaders and useful idiots ends up at the controls.

So the cat is out of the bag in terms of Democrats’ intentions to build a one-party state in America and to silence rural voters permanently. Ultimately, they are not interested in giving conservatives a scrap of representation in Congress or statehouses, or even on county boards and town councils. They’ve been following the cues of Hillary Clinton, who labeled middle America “deplorables”; of President Obama, who called them “bitter clingers” to guns and religion; and of President Joe Biden, who essentially called them “garbage” and fascists.

The expressions of contempt don’t end there. Recently, self-identified progressives have written books about “white rural rage” and “White Christian Nationalism” supposedly lurking in America’s backwoods. The New York Times’ Paul Krugman warned about it. A Berkeley instructor wrote that rural folks are “bad people” who deserve to live “uncomfortabl[y].” In a since-deleted tweet, he added that “we should shame people who aren’t pro-city.”

It seems there’s no end to the leftist craving for the polarization that’s tearing the country apart. But, in general, as long as Democrats insist on clinging to transgenderism, DEI, gun grabs, abortion at nine months (and beyond?), promoting Hamas terrorists, and defunding the police, well, they’re singing way out of key in rural America.

Democrats might have a messaging problem, but they also have a ground game to render rural America irrelevant in elections. Their strategy involves a lot of propaganda and a lot of organizing, especially in down-ballot races where low conservative turnout can be overcome by motivated leftists, as just happened in Trump-supporting Butler, Pennsylvania.

That’s where we are. Normal Americans desperately need a ground game to vastly improve turnout, especially in small towns and rural America — and they need it immediately.
