US Says ISIS Leader Likely Killed in Syria Raid

( Reuters) Early on Monday, the U.S. Central Command claimed that its forces killed a senior Islamic State official who it claimed was responsible for” planning terror attacks in the Middle East and Europe.”

The punitive aircraft attack in Northern Syria, according to U.S. Central Command forces, resulted in the likely demise of the Muslim state leader. It claimed that two additional trained people were killed.

According to the Central Command, neither American soldiers nor residents were hurt in the assault, nor were American aircraft.
