Furthermore, the U.S. has imposed sanctions on facilitators of Iran’s missile and drone programs, freezing their U.S.-based assets and prohibiting certain transactions with them.
The U.S. government’s actions come in response to Hamas’s massacre of 1,400 people in southern Israel on Oct. 7, including numerous foreign nationals. Israel has declared war on Hamas and is conducting a counteroffensive to dismantle its infrastructure in Gaza.

During his visit to Israel, President Joe Biden expressed the United States’ commitment to securing the safe release of hostages and supporting Israel in its mission to eliminate Hamas.
