UK’s National Health Service: Most Trans Kids “Just Going Through a Phase”

You can expect this breaking news to quickly be banned on all social media platforms and be labeled as “misinformation,” despite the fact that it’s coming directly from the government of Great Britain. The National Health Service of England, in a rare demonstration of common sense, has released an advisory saying that most children who believe they are transgender are simply “going through a phase” as they mature. They are further recommending that doctors stop encouraging such children to change their names and/or pronouns.  Going even further, they plan to announce a ban on the administration of puberty-blocking drugs for pediatric patients except in “strict clinical trials.” In a rather sterile fashion, the NHS declared that the changes are needed because there is currently “scarce and inconclusive evidence to support clinical decision-making”. Most children who believe that they are transgender are just going through a “phase”, the NHS has said, as it warns that doctors should not encourage them to change their names and pronouns.

NHS England has announced plans for tightening controls on the treatment of under 18s questioning their gender, including a ban on prescribing puberty blockers outside of strict clinical trials…

The plans, which are currently under public consultation, are for an interim service for young people with gender dysphoria whilst Dr Hilary Cass continues her review into the treatment offered by the NHS.

In yet another shockingly common-sense decision, NHS announced that any services of this nature would be overseen by “medical doctors rather than therapists.” Can you imagine the shock and horror reverberating through the woke communities in the United States? Asking actual medical doctors to weigh in on the treatment of children that frequently results in mastectomies, irreversible genital mutilation surgery, and the prescribing of dangerous drugs with serious known side effects that have never been approved by the FDA for these uses? What is the world coming to?

The NHS is advising doctors to be aware that this sort of gender confusion is typically a transient phase and “in most cases gender incongruence does not persist into adolescence.” They point out the widespread nature of these issues as well. In 2011-2012, they handled 250 cases of referrals to “gender identity services.” In 2021 and 2022 the number skyrocketed to more than 5,000.

Why has there not yet been a similar awakening of what should plainly be common sense in the American medical community? It’s bad enough that the nation’s school systems have turned into indoctrination centers where children are under constant social pressure to “identify” as something other than a cisgender (God, I hate that word), heterosexual boy or girl. But pushing children toward irreversible surgical procedures and powerful, life-altering drugs long before they have matured enough to provide informed consent for such radical actions is unforgivable. The doctors engaging in this malarkey need to have their licenses removed and potentially be put in jail.

Just to ensure that we weren’t missing something critical in this debate, I recently contacted the Public Affairs Office for the Food and Drug Administration. I asked one of their agents about a list of the five most commonly prescribed GnRH Agonists from five different pharmaceutical companies that are given to children as part of a “gender transition” program. Their Press Officer from the FDA’s Office of Media Affairs told me, “Puberty blockers and sex hormones do not have FDA approval for children’s gender care. The FDA is unaware of clinical trials in gender care for any population.”

There you have it, straight from the horse’s mouth. The FDA never approved any of these drugs for use on children other than in diagnosed cases of precocious puberty or a few different forms of cancer. And not only have the drugs not been approved for such use but there also aren’t even any clinical studies taking place to determine if such prescriptions are even safe. (Spoiler alert from a number of alarmed doctors: they are not safe.)

Is the CDC simply too afraid of the woke mobs to come out and similarly put an end to these Frankenstein-style practices? Or is their leadership already under the spell of the powers of wokeness? Take a page from the actual medical professionals in Great Britain and pull your heads out of your butts before we lose even more children.
