UFC’s Conor McGregor Says Every School Should Have “Armed Protection”

Conor McGregor, a UFC star, emphasizes that every school should receive “armed protection” after the transgender shooter attack at Nashville Christian School.

Upon hearing about the incident, McGregor took to Twitter saying that he thinks that an armed guard should be present at every school across the United States of America.

He revealed that his own children’s school is already equipped with an armed guard. McGregor affirmed that if someone tried to approach the school with violent intentions, he would not hesitate to use his firearm to put a stop to them. He stated, “my guard, who is tucked away, armed and unseen, would have seen her and taken her down. Saving those children’s lives. May God and his best people on this earth protect our children!”

According to FOX News’s John Roberts, the Christian school where the shooter killed six people did not have an armed resource officer to protect the children and staff.

To address this issue, Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Bill Hagerty (R-TN) are pushing a bill that would set aside $900 million in funding to enable schools to hire off-duty police officers, retired police officers, and veterans for additional security.

It is crucial to point out that schools should be one of the safest places for students, teachers, and staff. With the increasing number of attacks in schools, it is high time that more measures are taken to ensure their safety.
