UFC Commentator Joe Rogan Blasts LGBTQ+ and Transgender Ideology: “You’re Encouraging Mental Illness”
Joe Rogan, the UFC commentator and podcaster, expressed his views on the issue of transgender athletes on Tuesday’s episode. According to Rogan, allowing biological men to compete against women in sports is a “fu**ing crime” and undermines the integrity of women’s sports.
In an interview with Dr. Peter Attia, Rogan pushed back against the ideology that gender is determined by society instead of biology. “I think we are all equal in the eyes of the Lord, but equality does not exist physically. That’s why we have weight classes. That’s why we should have the difference between females and males competing against each other, which is why … this trans athlete thing f***ing blows my mind how many people go along with this. It just blows my mind,” he said.
Rogan discussed Lia Thomas, a male swimmer who now competes in women’s competitions, and his opinion is that it robs women athletes of their rightful places. “Lia Thomas is still the number one swimmer in the world and it’s a biological male – period — end of discussion,” he said. “It’s madness, and not only that — [he] hasn’t even gotten [his] penis removed and has sex with women, apparently — the whole thing is so crazy, that you can call yourself a woman and then you’re a woman.”
Rogan, known as a liberal, defended the integrity of women’s sports and criticized male MMA fighter Fallon Fox in the past for assaulting women in matches. He stated that “This has nothing to do with trans rights,” and added that fairness in sports is the main issue.
Rogan also argued that there are obvious and inarguable advantages that men have over women due to testosterone alone. “What they’ve done to those other girls that are competing against her, it’s just a f***ing crime. It’s horrible. Imagine you’re a biological woman, you’re working your ass off, you are fully dedicated to being the best of the best,” Rogan said.
He went on to criticize the LGBTQ+ gender ideology movement and its impact on society. “You’re encouraging mental illness,” Rogan stated. “It’s nonsense.” He added that people “know it’s not true, accurate, or scientifically true” but espouse these beliefs lest they be labeled as transphobic.
“It’s f***ing wild,” he concluded. “And I never thought it was going to happen like this.”
