Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the New Year’s Eve assault of “90210” actor Ian Ziering.

Officers served a pair of search warrants early on Tuesday which led to the arrests of 20-year-old Jacob Esteban Hernandez and 40-year-old Angie Teresa Guizar, alleged members of the “minibike gang” who attacked the celebrity in Los Angeles on the afternoon of December 31, 2023, per CBS News.

Ziering and his 10-year-old daughter were sitting in traffic in the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard when the assailants attacked.

“The confrontation began between the victim and one of the minibike riders over possible damage to his vehicle,” a statement from LAPD said. “Three to four additional minibike riders jumped in and assaulted the motorist.”

The majority of the violent interaction was caught on camera, including when the bikers surrounded the “90210” actor and subsequently punched and kicked him as he tried to run. Ziering’s daughter was not injured, but law enforcement said the bikers did vandalize his car while his child was still sitting in the front seat.

“Hernandez was booked for felony vandalism and is being held on $50,000 bail,” the outlet noted. “Guizar was booked for assault with a deadly weapon and is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.”

Ziering detailed the incident on Instagram just after it occurred, as The Daily Wire previously reported.

“Yesterday, I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of individuals on mini bikes. While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders leading to an unsettling confrontation,” the 59-year-old actor shared.

“In an attempt to assess any damage I exited my car. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself,” he continued.

“I am relieved to report that my daughter and I are both completely unscathed, but the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace,” Ziering wrote. “This situation highlights a larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior. As a citizen and a parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this kind of behavior, causing fear and chaos, while the response from authorities seems insufficient.”

The post went on, “I have always been an advocate for standing up against intimidation and misconduct, and this incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety. We must address the underlying issues that lead to such disruptive behavior and ensure that our streets are safe for everyone.”

Ziering concluded by urging city officials and law enforcement “to take decisive action against such lawlessness and provide the necessary resources to prevent future occurrences.”

The actor is best known for his role as Steve Sanders on “Beverly Hills, 90210” and has appeared in dozens of film and television projects over the course of his career.
