Biden Picks New Labor Secretary

President Biden On Tuesday, he will nominate Julie Su, the current deputy secretary to labor, as the next Secretary of Labor. Su was criticized for his indirect oversight of the California Employment Development Department. According to reports, one-tenth the $114 billion in pandemic relief claims that the agency processed involved fraudulent activity. Su, if confirmed, would succeed Marty Walsh who left the administration in order to lead the National Hockey League Players Association.

Biden Administration Wants To Start Spying Program

The Biden Administration will be open Tuesday Requested The Congress authorizes the reauthorization of the surveillance program called “section 702.” Although the spying program is designed to monitor foreign communications, critics fear that it could be used to electronically record American citizens. It is needed for American safety, according to the Justice Department and Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

16 Bipartisan Members of Congress Want USA to Send F-16 Fighter Jets to Ukraine

16 members sent a bipartisan note to Biden’s administration this morning urging him to send F-16s over to Ukraine. According to the Pentagon, F-16s are not required at this time in the war against Russia.

Tuesday’s Chicago Mayoral Election

Chicagoans are heading to the polls today in order to elect a third-largest mayor. This is where crime has been a significant issue. Eight rivals are challenging Lori Lightfoot, Chicago’s current first-term mayor. Recent polling suggests that the election could be decided in a runoff in April. Northwestern University’s poll shows a tight race between Paul Vallas (19%) and U.S. Rep. Jesus Garcia (17%). Lightfoot currently stands at 14%.

Cali Ends the COVID Emergency

California’s COVID state-of-emergency has been officially ended today. The emergency powers were enacted by Gavin Newsom, Democrat governor of California. It has been almost three years. The governor was stripped of some powers with the end to the state of emergency. However, certain mandates such as the statewide mask in the health care setting and long-term care or adult senior care settings will not be removed.

Border Patrol Nabs Massive Fentanyl Haul

A massive shipment of the deadly drug fentanyl — It is enough to kill 50,000,000 people — has been seized by U.S. Border Patrol in Southern California. Raul Ortiz (Chief of U.S. Border Patrol) tweets: “San Diego Agents & local LEO partners arrested 3 and seized 232 lbs. of Fentanyl worth over $3 million.” The drug seizure took place during a routine Orange county traffic stop over the weekend.

Mississippi bans Sex-Changes and Puberty Blocks.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves Signed Today’s bill would ban transgender treatment for children. House Bill 1125 would ban sexchange procedures and any hormone therapy. Matt Walsh, Daily Wire host was there to sign the bill and made remarks.

“I’m extremely encouraged to not only see this law being passed, but to see the national movement that we have been able to build pushing back against the gender ideology madness,” Walsh , adding, “One of the most basic truths is that children who are confused about their identity need guidance and love and clarity. They don’t need hormone injections and scalpels.”
