Tucker Carlson criticizes ‘hysteria’ surrounding Fox News’ Biden ‘wannabe dictator’ caption.

Former Fox News Host Tucker Carlson Slams Former Employer Over Chyron Controversy

In a recent episode of his Twitter show, Tucker Carlson didn’t hold back in criticizing his former employer, Fox News, for removing a producer who allowed a controversial chyron labeling President Joe Biden as a “wannabe dictator.”

“Those words were up for less than 30 seconds, but the effect was immediate. Inside Fox, the women who run the network panicked,” Carlson revealed, mentioning that the producer resigned within 24 hours.

Carlson went on to explain that Fox News issued an apology, claiming that the chyron was quickly taken down and addressed. However, he expressed his disappointment in how the situation was handled, particularly regarding the treatment of the producer.

“He’d been at Fox for more than a decade. He was one of the most capable people in the building,” Carlson said. “He offered to stay for the customary two weeks, but Fox told him to clear out his desk and leave immediately.”

Carlson then delved into a sarcastic diatribe questioning the “hysteria” surrounding the chyron and sarcastically highlighting why Biden couldn’t be compared to a dictator.

“Of course, Joe Biden’s not a wannabe dictator,” Carlson quipped. “Just because he’s trying to put the other candidate in prison for the rest of his life for a crime he himself committed doesn’t mean he has a totalitarian impulse.”

Carlson continued to mockingly argue that Biden doesn’t fit the profile of a dictator, using examples of infamous dictators to emphasize his point.

Despite the controversy, Carlson’s Twitter videos continue to attract millions of views, surpassing cable ratings. His latest video has already garnered over 13 million views within its first 12 hours.

Since Carlson’s departure from Fox News, the network has experienced a decline in its key prime-time viewing audience.
