President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Tuesday, saying if the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps retaliated in response to U.S. Central Command’s Tuesday strikes, the country would be “hit much harder.”
“If they retaliate, they’ll be hit much harder. And if they do it again, they’ll be no longer,” Trump told Fox News.

Trump’s comments warning against Iranian retaliation come just hours after the U.S. military announced its latest round of strikes against Iran. The noon EDT attack on Tuesday followed a Sunday evening U.S. strike against the Guard that was the first after a monthlong hiatus in airstrikes between the two adversaries at war.
“The strikes follow recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against American service members deployed to the region,” CENTCOM said in a statement on the strikes Tuesday.
In a Truth Social post on the airstrikes, Trump said the U.S. military was hitting Guard targets near the Strait of Hormuz.
“If the failed Nation of Iran retaliates for this very justified attack, they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level, but it will not be the biggest attack of them all, that is waiting in the wings and, when it is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran!” Trump posted.
The State Department Bureau of Consular Affairs issued a warning on Tuesday for all Americans in the Middle East after the U.S. attack, urging Americans in the region to “exercise heightened vigilance and be aware of potential flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions.”
“Due to tensions in the Middle East, the security environment remains complex with the potential for unforeseen escalation,” the State Department message said.
Trump told Fox News that the Iranian regime is “crazy” and “stupid,” saying “they don’t stop.” He continued, saying an agreement with the regime “isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.”

“They tried to rebuild their radar because they can’t see anything. We waited until it was almost built and then we hit it,” Trump said.
The Iranian state-affiliated outlet Fars News Agency claimed in a Telegram message on Tuesday afternoon that its journalists observed Iranian missiles firing at enemy missiles.
