Trump unsure about attending son’s wedding because of Iran war
President donald Trump said he hopes to attend his son Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding over Memorial Day weekend, but he isn’t sure he will be able to as of other commitments tied to the Middle East situation (including Iran). Trump noted that attending-or not attending-would be criticized by the media, adding that the couple is longtime and that he’s wishing them well.

“He’d like me to go,” Trump said when asked if he would attend the ceremony this weekend. “But it’s going to be just a small, private affair, and I’m going to try and make it. I’m in the midst — I said, ‘You know this is not good timing for me.’ I have a thing called Iran and other things,’” referring to the conflict in the Middle East.
“That’s one I can’t win on. If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed — by the fake news of course I’m talking about now,” he continued. “But she’s a person I’ve known for a long time, and, hopefully, they’re going to have a great marriage.”
The younger Trump has five children with his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump, whom he divorced in 2018. Donald Trump Jr. was later engaged to former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle, who was previously married to Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) while he was the mayor of San Francisco. Guilfoyle currently serves as the U.S. ambassador to Greece.
