President Donald Trump voiced support for Tiger Woods on Wednesday after the golf legend had his driver’s license suspended.
The five-year suspension was part of a no-contest plea deal Woods struck with prosecutors concerning a DUI-involved crash earlier this year. Woods’s charges were reduced as part of the agreement.

“I think he’s going to have somebody drive him. I told him that a long time ago. Why don’t you get somebody to drive you? So he’s going to have somebody drive him from now on,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “He’s just a very special guy. I’m glad. I’m glad that was resolved.”
Trump, an avid golfer himself and a longtime friend of Woods, noted that the golfer has taken prescription painkillers to compensate for his lengthy history of injuries.
