“We have a real chance for GREATNESS IN THE MIDDLE EAST. ALL ARE ON BOARD FOR SOMETHING SPECIAL, FIRST TIME EVER. WE WILL GET IT DONE!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
His statement comes after Trump met with eight Muslim and Arab rulers during the U.N. General Assembly last week, during which they discussed the conflict between Hamas and Israel. Trump promised the leaders that he would not allow Israel to annex the West Bank, a Palestinian territory.
Trump’s peace plan reportedly proposes putting regional Arab countries at the center of the peace settlement, deploying a multinational peacekeeping force made up of soldiers from Muslim countries and some Palestinians.
