Trump says he warned Biden that Fauci ‘was no good’
President Donald Trump claimed he warned President Joe Biden that Dr. Anthony Fauci “was no good,” but Biden did not heed his advice. Trump expressed that he called Biden to alert him about Fauci’s perceived incompetence or dishonesty, and although the call was well received, no action was taken, allowing fauci to gain important influence. Trump’s remarks came ahead of Fauci’s upcoming Senate testimony on the origins of COVID-19,wich has resulted in over 1.2 million American deaths. Trump criticized the Biden administration, asserting that more Americans died of COVID under Biden than during his own presidency, emphasizing that Operation Warp Speed was highly prosperous. He also accused Fauci of misrepresenting the virus’s origins and stated he initially believed the virus came from a Wuhan lab, overriding Fauci’s differin
g views. Trump noted that he inherited Fauci from earlier administrations but gradually relied less on him and criticized Biden for elevating Fauci’s authority, contrasting past public support Fauci received from Trump with his current stance.
President Donald Trump says he warned former President Joe Biden that Dr. Anthony Fauci “was no good,” but he didn’t listen.
“I called Biden to tell him Fauci was no good, either didn’t have a clue, or was dishonest,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Wednesday. “The call was well received, but sadly, not acted on. Biden went on to give Fauci vast destructive power. The rest is history! President DJT.”

His comments came ahead of Fauci appearing before the Senate on Wednesday, in a contentious hearing examining the origins of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic that claimed more than 1.2 million lives in the United States.
Trump heavily criticized the Biden administration, claiming that COVID-19 killed more Americans under Biden than under his own administration. “Many more people died of COVID under the Biden administration than under the Trump administration,” Trump said. “‘Operation Warp Speed’ was a spectacular success, in fact, many say, one of the most successful things ever done by an American president.” While more people died under the Biden administration, that was over a four-year period, while Trump dealt with the pandemic during the last year of his first term.
Trump also pointed to Fauci’s previous claims that the virus likely did not originate at a Wuhan wet market, stating the former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director was “always trying to protect China.”
“I overrode Fauci on this. His ideas were crazy! I said from the beginning that the virus came from the Wuhan Laboratory in China. Fauci strongly disagreed,” Trump said.
Trump noted that he “inherited Fauci, who was there since the 1980s,” but said he “relied less and less on him, with each passing day.”

“Fauci was largely taken out of play, and then along came Sleepy Joe Biden, who made Fauci a ‘King!’” Trump said.
Trump’s latest comments contrast with his earlier public support for Fauci, during which Fauci said Trump was following his advice, that the two were getting along fine, and that Trump had not overruled him on COVID-19 decisions.
