Trump rips into DeSantis’s dwindling poll numbers as 2024 feud escalates

Donald Trumpramped up attacks against Gov. Ron DeSantis during a rally on Saturday, ripping into the Florida Republican for his dwindling poll numbers and recent criticism.

Trump told a crowd of hundreds of supporters that without Trump’s backing, DeSantis’ political career would be” dead” and reiterated earlier remarks that he took credit for the Sunshine state election victory. Trump recalled tales of DeSantis requesting the former president’s approval in 2018, which he claimed allowed the government of Florida to transform into” like a rocketship.”

Trump remarked,” We immediately make fun of him, but he was one of the hottest politicians.” However, I believe we are doing well because we have been off in the surveys over the past four or five months.

Trump cited recent poll conducted as part of his campaign, which showed him forward of Texas Republicans and DeSantis, surpassing the governor of Florida by 16 points as of March after a January lead.

On some crucial plan points, Trump also criticized DeSantis. In the 2024 election period, the Florida Republican has become embroiled in the controversy over its desire to reduce Social Security and Medicare results. DeSantis had previously stated that he and other Republicans had not” disaster with” the welfare services in response to similar criticisms.

The remarks were made by Trump on Saturday at his first official campaign rally in Waco, Texas, which was the first of its kind since rumors about impending indictment charges connected to a quiet cash case that started during his inaugural presidential campaign in 2016 surfaced.

As part of the former mayor’s efforts to make Texas” Trump place” early in the primary months before the GOP subject gets too crowded, Trump supporters gathered at the Waco Regional Airport on Saturday night.

Trump is scheduled to face a likely indictment as soon as next year, which coincides with the system event. If charged, it would be the first time in American history that a former chairman has been charged. What accusations Trump does face are not yet known.
