Former President Donald Trump delivered a powerful speech to Michigan Republicans, emphasizing the significance of the upcoming 2024 election. The Oakland County GOP showed their unwavering support for Trump, making it clear that they are behind him in his mission to “make America great again.”
“We’re going to finish what we started and we will make America great again,” Trump declared, according to the Detroit Free Press.
“This is the final battle. With you at my side, we will demolish the deep state,” he added.
During the Lincoln Day dinner, Republican state Rep. Ryan Berman acknowledged Trump’s meteoric rise in the political world since his last appearance at the event in 2013.
“He’s taken the political world by storm,” Berman stated.
Trump was honored with the “Man of the Decade” award by the Oakland County Republican Party during the event, as reported by WXYZ-TV in Detroit.
Attendees expressed their unwavering support for Trump, highlighting his leadership qualities and love for the country.
“Trump is a fighter. He loves our country. We can trust him. He’s the only one that can lead us. He’s an incredible leader. He’s proved to be an incredible president and we need to come out and support him,” said Joel Steinberg, one of the attendees.
The event drew such immense interest that it had to be moved to a larger venue to accommodate everyone who wanted to witness Trump’s speech, according to WXYZ-TV.
Trump addressed the indictments against him, dismissing them as part of a corrupt persecution by the radical left Democrats.
“Every time the radical left Democrats, Marxists, communists, fascists indict me, I consider it a great badge of honor, and a badge of courage,” Trump defiantly stated, as reported by MLive.
“If this corrupt persecution succeeds, they will complete their takeover of this country and they will destroy your way of life in the United States of America forever, it will be forever destroyed,” he warned.
Trump also expressed concerns about the Biden administration’s push for electric vehicles, predicting dire consequences for Michigan’s auto industry.
“It’s going to be at a level that people can’t even imagine,” he said, criticizing what he called the “maniacal push” for electric vehicles.
“If somebody wants an electric car, I’m all for it. But you should be able to have a choice,” Trump emphasized.
“The push for all-electric cars, it’s killing the United States, it’s killing Michigan and it’s a total vote for China,” he added, as reported by MLive.
Trump criticized President Joe Biden, labeling him a catastrophe for Michigan and accusing him of implementing heartless and disloyal environmental policies that harm American workers.
He also took aim at deals made by Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer with a Chinese company, warning of the potential consequences.
“That sounds good, but the money’s going to Chinese companies, and then they’re gonna leave, they’re planning to take our money and then they say ‘bye bye, you stupid fools,’” Trump exclaimed.
Furthermore, Trump mocked electric vehicles, highlighting their limited range and suggesting that some people prefer to drive longer distances.
It is evident that Trump’s presence and message resonated strongly with the Michigan Republicans, who are determined to support him in his quest to restore America’s greatness.
