Trump endorsed Ogles, a Freedom Caucus member, last year, but threw his political weight behind Ogles again amid a closer-than-expected primary against former Tennessee Agriculture Commissioner Charlie Hatcher.

Ogles’s reelection campaign has also been undermined by a super PAC called the Invest in Tomorrow Coalition, which advocates renewable energy and has spent $2 million in advertising against him.
