Trump refuses to disclose if he instructed someone to move boxes at Mar-A-Lago.

Former President Donald Trump Refuses to Answer About Moving Boxes at Mar-a-Lago

In a⁢ recent interview, former ⁣President Donald Trump was asked whether he ⁣ordered anyone to move boxes at ‍his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida last year. The purpose of this alleged ‌action was to hide evidence from investigators in the criminal investigation into his handling of classified U.S. intelligence after leaving ‍the White House. However, Trump ⁤declined to provide a direct answer to the question.

The ⁤interview took ⁤place with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, who asked⁤ Trump⁤ about the federal obstruction charge he faces⁤ in special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation. Hewitt specifically inquired, “Did you direct anyone to move the boxes after the subpoena was issued?”

Initially, Trump responded ⁢by dismissing the charge as another “Russia, Russia,‍ Russia” situation, suggesting that it was a fabricated case⁤ against him. However, when pressed further by Hewitt, Trump refused to provide ‍a‌ clear answer,⁣ stating, “I don’t talk about anything. You know why? Because ⁤I’m allowed to do whatever I want. I come under the Presidential Records Act. I’m not telling you.”

Later in the interview, Hewitt asked Trump if he would⁢ testify in his own defense if the case goes to trial. Trump confidently replied, ⁢”Oh, yes, absolutely. That, I ‍would do.⁤ That, I look forward to, ⁣because that’s just like Russia, Russia, Russia. That’s all the fake information from Russia, Russia, Russia.”

Despite Trump’s evasive responses, Hewitt continued‍ to press him on ‍the obstruction charge, expressing his belief that it will ⁣indeed go to trial. However, Trump remained firm in his refusal to answer, stating, “I’m not answering that question for you, but I’m ‍totally covered under the law.”
