Trump honors 9/11 first responders ahead of 25th anniversary
President Donald Trump paid tribute to two American heroes who lost their lives during the September 11 terrorist attacks. In a speech at the White House Ellipse, he announced that the Coast guard will commission a new fast-response cutter named after Jeffrey Palazzo, a reservist and firefighter from New York City. Additionally, he awarded a posthumous Presidential medal of Freedom to Welles Crowther, an equities trader and volunteer firefighter who heroically saved 18 people before dying on September 11, 2001.
