Trump Faces 30+ Criminal Charges In Manhattan Grand Jury Indictment: Report

According to CNN sources, former President Donald Trump is facing over 30 criminal charges related to business fraud in a sealed indictment from the Manhattan Grand Jury. Trump was reportedly caught off guard by the indictment, and it is the first time in U.S. history that a former president is facing criminal charges. Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg’s office stated that they contacted Trump’s attorney to coordinate his surrender for arraignment on the Supreme Court indictment, which remains under seal. Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis released a statement condemning the indictment and saying that Florida will not assist in extradition request given the questionable circumstances with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda. The lead prosecutors in the case met with the grand jury on Thursday, read them the criminal statutes before they voted and filed the indictment a few hours later in the court clerk’s office.

Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reported that Bragg’s office is examining an alleged $150,000 payment to former Playboy model Karen McDougal. Trump responded to the news claiming that the situation was political persecution and election interference.

In his statement, Trump mentioned investigations into his campaign’s ties to Russia and his first impeachment as examples of political persecution. He claimed that Democrats have cheated countless times over the decades and weaponized law enforcement agencies to go after him. Trump also criticized Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and said that he was hand-picked and funded by George Soros, and rather than stopping the unprecedented crime wave in New York City, he was doing Joe Biden’s dirty work. However, Trump predicted that this witch-hunt would backfire on the Democrats.
