Trump rejoices as another GOP candidate quits: ‘Finally!’

Trump Celebrates as Second GOP Presidential Candidate Drops Out: ‘About Time!’

Former President ⁣Donald ‌Trump couldn’t contain his excitement upon ⁤hearing the news that Republican presidential hopeful Will Hurd had⁣ decided to drop⁣ out of the ‍race on Monday.

Hurd ⁢made a lengthy⁢ statement on social media, announcing the suspension ⁤of his campaign and endorsing former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.

Trump took to his Truth Social account to criticize Hurd, who ⁢had previously chosen ⁢not to run for Congress again after a lackluster performance ⁣in his 2018 campaign.

“It’s about ⁣time!”⁢ the former president‍ and leading 2024 GOP contender exclaimed. “Will Hurd, the failed former Congressman ⁢from the great ⁣State of Texas, who decided not to run for Congress⁣ again⁢ because he did an ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE ‍JOB (ZERO Personality!), and ⁤couldn’t win, has just now decided to ⁤drop out of the 2024 Presidential ⁤Campaign where he, likewise, drew ‘flies!’”

Trump didn’t hold ‌back⁣ in⁢ his criticism, referring ⁤to Haley as “Birdbrain” after labeling Hurd as “nasty.”

“He is a nasty and ⁤jealous guy, who truly doesn’t have what⁢ it takes,” Trump said. “Luckily for him, he couldn’t make the Debate Stage, but went out with a bang – He endorsed Birdbrain!”

Hurd is ⁣the second ‍candidate who⁢ failed to qualify for⁤ the debate ⁣stage to drop out of the race.

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez suspended his campaign in August.

Neither Suarez⁢ nor Hurd appeared in the Real⁢ Clear ⁣Politics polling averages, which featured nine other GOP candidates.

Trump led ⁣the polls with just over 57 percent, followed ⁤by Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with almost 13 ⁤percent.

Haley was in third place with about 7 percent.

While announcing ‍his campaign suspension, Hurd emphasized the importance ‌of consolidating the party around‌ one candidate to defeat both ‌Trump and President Biden.

“If the Republican party ⁤nominates Donald Trump or the various personalities jockeying to imitate his divisive, ⁣crass‌ behavior, we will lose,” he added.

In his endorsement of Haley, Hurd highlighted the need for a leader who can navigate the complex challenges the country faces, particularly in terms of national security.

“I believe Ambassador Nikki Haley is the⁤ best person in this ‌race to⁢ do that. Ambassador Haley has shown a willingness ⁤to articulate a different vision ⁣for the country than‌ Donald Trump and has an ⁤unmatched grasp on the complexities of our foreign policy,” ⁤Hurd said.

He concluded, “I ‍wholeheartedly endorse Ambassador ⁣Haley and⁤ look forward to supporting her ⁤for‌ the remainder of this ‌race.”

The post‌ Trump Celebrates as ‍Second GOP Presidential⁤ Candidate Drops Out: ‘About Time!’ appeared first on The Western Journal.

How does Nikki Haley’s‍ leadership skills contribute to her understanding ⁢of‌ national security challenges?

Nikki Haley has shown strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the complexities of ⁤our national security ‍challenges,” Hurd said in his endorsement statement.

Trump, ⁣however, was quick ⁢to dismiss ‌Hurd’s endorsement of Haley, once⁣ again taking to his Truth⁤ Social account ⁣to criticize both ⁤candidates.

“Birdbrain couldn’t ⁤even cut ⁣it as ambassador to the United Nations. She was a disaster, just like low-energy Will ‌Hurd. They don’t have what ⁣it takes to lead this country,” ‌Trump tweeted.

The announcement⁢ of Hurd’s exit from the race and his endorsement of⁤ Haley‌ comes⁢ as the Republican primary continues to‍ heat ⁣up. With several candidates ‍vying for the nomination, the competition is fierce.

Trump, who⁣ has ⁢yet ‍to officially announce his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election, remains a strong contender for the Republican nomination. His high poll‌ numbers ⁢reflect his continued popularity among Republican voters.

While‍ Hurd’s departure may ‌not have a⁣ significant impact on the race, it‌ does underscore the challenges faced by candidates‌ attempting to break through in a crowded field. As more candidates drop ‌out and ‍consolidate their support behind⁢ a select ⁤few, the dynamics⁢ of the race will undoubtedly‍ shift.

As for Hurd, his ⁣decision to suspend his⁤ campaign and ⁣endorse Haley reflects the⁢ importance of‍ unity within the Republican Party. With the 2024 election looming, Republicans understand the ‌need to present a united front in order to have a chance at defeating both Trump and President Biden.

While Hurd‍ may not have been able to gain momentum and secure a spot on the debate stage, his endorsement of Haley signals his belief in her ability to lead and navigate the challenges ⁤facing ⁤our⁣ nation. ‍It remains to⁢ be seen how‌ his endorsement will impact her campaign and the overall dynamics of the race.

With each candidate’s decision ⁣to drop out and endorse‌ another, ⁢the race for the Republican‌ nomination grows increasingly complex. As the primary season progresses, it will be interesting ⁢to see how the remaining candidates position themselves and gain support.

For now,‍ Trump ⁣celebrates the exit of ⁣another GOP presidential candidate, reaffirming his position as a frontrunner in ‌the race. As the competition intensifies, the Republican Party faces the challenge of unifying behind a single candidate who can rally support and ultimately challenge the ⁢Democratic nominee in the 2024 presidential election.

Only ⁣time will tell who will emerge as the Republican nominee and have ⁤the opportunity to challenge President Biden for⁣ the ‍White House. Until then,⁢ the race continues and candidates will vie ‍for support and endorsements as they navigate the complex landscape of ⁤American politics.
