Trump calls Ossoff ‘Pee-Wee Herman’ in response to comments

President Donald Trump responded too Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff’s recent comments criticizing his travel habits adn the White House ballroom project. Ossoff, during a rally, mocked Trump’s frequent travel with aide Natalie Harp and criticized the president for neglecting more pressing issues like military operations, suggesting he prefers leisure activities like golf and stock trading over presidential duties. In turn, Trump dismissed Ossoff as a “Pee-Wee Herman look-alike” and defended his efforts to renovate the White house, citing security concerns and the need for a larger, more secure space to host dignitaries like Chinese President Xi Jinping. Trump emphasized that the white House’s current facilities are inadequate, and described upgrades including bulletproof, drone-proof features. The dispute highlights ongoing political rhetoric surrounding presidential priorities and facility improvements.

President Donald Trump took a shot at Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) on Monday for comments he made about the president’s travel with administration staff and the White House ballroom project.

At a rally this weekend, while criticizing the president’s policies in the war with Iran and behavior in office, Ossoff made a swipe at Natalie Harp, the president’s assistant who is almost always traveling with Trump and is often seen just feet away from him at most public outings.

“While the sailors on the[USS[USSAbraham Lincoln]fight his war, while he fruitlessly drains our munitions and oil reserves, the president sleeps through his meetings, he golfs, and trades stocks,” Ossoff told the crowd. “He doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace, gifted by the emir of Qatar.”

Asked about the senator’s comments in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump labeled Ossoff a “Pee-Wee Herman look-alike,” referring to the character portrayed by the late comedian Paul Reubens.

“No, I would much rather do other things. We’re building a great facility here. We’re fixing a White House that hasn’t been taken care of,” he told reporters. “This room was a disgraceful situation in the Oval Office, and it was let go. The whole building, the White House, was let go.”

The president proceeded to list off a number of reasons backing his decision to construct the White House ballroom and underground military facility, adding that he would have preferred to host Chinese President Xi Jinping in a larger space than is currently afforded by the White House grounds.

THE TWO REASONS TRUMPWORLD THINKS LEAVITT’S REPLACEMENT WILL BE A WOMAN

“We have President Xi coming on Sept. 24 or so. I think it’s Sept. 24, and we’d love to have 2,000 people coming to dinner and celebrating a nice evening, etc., etc.,” he continued. “But we only have a room that’s going to hold 89 people, and 89 people is not appropriate. So, maybe more importantly, it’s totally secure with bulletproof windows, bulletproof sides. It’s drone-proof. It’s missile [proof]. Every at the top of the line, and we need it.”
