Trump dismisses 14th Amendment ploy to bar him from 2024 ballot as a ‘trick’.

Former President‍ Donald ⁣Trump Slams Attempts to Disqualify Him from 2024 Ballot

In a fiery post on Truth Social, former⁤ President Donald Trump vehemently criticized the ‍states’ efforts to disqualify him from the 2024 ballot using the 14th Amendment. Trump labeled it as a “trick” and yet another example of election interference.

According to ‍Trump, the⁢ majority of legal scholars agree ‌that there is no legal basis or standing for⁤ utilizing ‍the 14th Amendment to prevent him from‌ running in the upcoming presidential election.

“Like Election‍ Interference, it is‍ just another ‘trick’ being ⁢used by⁤ the Radical Left Communists, Marxists, and Fascists, to again steal an Election that their candidate,‍ the WORST, MOST INCOMPETENT, ⁣& ⁤MOST CORRUPT President in U.S. history, is incapable of⁤ winning in a Free and Fair Election. MAKE ⁤AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

The use of the 14th‍ Amendment to disqualify Trump has gained momentum since he announced his 2024 ⁤bid after the midterm elections. The attention surrounding this issue⁢ has⁣ further intensified with the⁣ announcement of Trump’s four‍ legal cases, two ⁤at the state level and two at the ⁣federal level.

These legal battles have‍ caused a divide among conservatives, with some debating whether to support Trump ⁣in ⁣2024 or seek an alternative candidate to challenge⁣ President Joe‌ Biden.

Furthermore, there are Republicans who are actively working to prevent Trump from returning to the‌ White House in 2024, leading to internal conflicts within ‌GOP state‌ parties.

Opponents⁣ of the former ⁤president, including conservative legal scholars, argue that the 14th Amendment prohibits individuals who have engaged in insurrection against the United States or provided aid to its enemies‌ from ‍holding office again, even if they have taken an oath to support the Constitution.

Free Speech for People, a legal advocacy group, has sent letters ‌to top election officials in nine states, urging ⁢them to disqualify Trump from the ballot. New Hampshire⁤ Republicans have also raised concerns and sought guidance from the state’s attorney general and other ⁢legal counsel.
