Crenshaw criticizes US Coast Guard and Navy for unsuccessful search in Titanic sub case.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw Criticizes Government’s Search Effort for Missing Submersible

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) did not hold back in his criticism of the federal government’s search effort for the missing Titan submersible. In an interview on Fox News’s Special Report, Crenshaw called the delayed response by the U.S. Coast Guard and Navy an “epic failure in leadership.”

An Urgent Underwater Emergency

Crenshaw highlighted the importance of a timely response, stating, “If you had just deployed those assets, they would have arrived on scene by Wednesday morning at the latest.” He expressed frustration that it took until Thursday morning to deploy the 6K ROV, the only equipment capable of reaching the necessary depth to investigate the wreckage.

“So where’s the failure here? The failure is to not put all your options on the table,” Crenshaw emphasized.

A Critical Response

Throughout the unfolding crisis, Crenshaw has been vocal in his criticism of the delayed rescue mission. He questioned the official timeline of events and suggested that the Biden administration’s inaction may have contributed to the tragic deaths of five passengers aboard the Titan.

“Could this have been resolved differently if leadership had just acted sooner and actually put options on the table?” Crenshaw pondered. He raised concerns about the banging noises detected by the Navy, speculating that they could have been the submersible’s impact with the ocean floor or even the implosion itself.

Searching for Answers

As the search continues, debris from the underwater vessel has been discovered near the wrecked Titanic. However, the Titan and the bodies within it remain elusive, resting at a depth of 13,000 feet below sea level.
