Whoopi Goldberg Blames Studio Audience for On-Air Slip-Up
During a recent episode of “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg found herself mixing up her words. However, she quickly attributed her mistake to something said during the commercial break, placing the blame on the studio audience.
In Monday’s broadcast of the ABC midday talk show, Goldberg accidentally said “b****es” instead of “beaches.” She also expressed frustration with her own lack of organizational skills due to the ongoing writers’ strike.
Goldberg’s struggles began when she returned from a commercial break and couldn’t remember which topic she was supposed to discuss next. This confusion stemmed from her failure to number the note cards she had prepared before the show.
“We don’t have writers, so I’m out of order. I write things down and then I don’t know because I don’t number them. So I don’t know what actually is supposed to come next,” she complained, seeking assistance from cohost Sara Haines.
After regaining her composure, Goldberg reintroduced the segment as if nothing had happened. However, she stumbled again when discussing a poll about travel preferences. Instead of saying “beaches,” she accidentally said “b****es.” Although she immediately corrected herself, the audience erupted in laughter.
Trying to recover, Goldberg jokingly blamed the studio audience for her slip-up. She then turned back to the camera and attempted to steer the conversation back to the topic at hand, asking her cohosts about the importance of food choices when traveling.
Despite Goldberg’s efforts, cohost Ana Navarro couldn’t resist making a playful comment, stating, “I will travel anywhere for a good bitch.”
