Jeopardy! fans upset over contestant’s memory lapse with Lord’s Prayer.

Contestants on Jeopardy! Stumped by Lord’s Prayer Question

During a recent episode of Jeopardy!, three contestants found themselves unable to answer a question related to the Lord’s Prayer. The $200 puzzle, considered the easiest, asked for the missing word in the line “Matthew 6:9 says, ‘Our Father, which art in heaven,’ This ‘be thy name.’” Host Mayim Bialik eventually revealed the answer to be “hallowed.”

“Get God back into your lives and homes, America!”

The clip of this moment quickly spread on social media, sparking a flurry of reactions from viewers. Evangelist Franklin Graham took to Twitter, expressing his surprise at the contestants’ lack of knowledge and lamenting the decline in biblical literacy. He warned that moving away from biblical values would have dire consequences for the nation.

“This may seem like a silly example of cultural decay,”

Another user pointed out that their 5-year-old child knew the entire Lord’s Prayer and recited it at dinner time. They emphasized the power parents have in shaping the world through their children’s upbringing.

“I’m not a Muslim, but I know the name of Allah’s last prophet,”

Yet another user expressed disbelief that supposedly educated individuals could not answer such a basic question, highlighting the perceived brokenness of the nation.

“This is why our Nation is broken! 3 contestants on Jeopardy don’t know the first line of the Lord’s Prayer?!?!”

Meanwhile, one of the contestants, Suresh Krishnan, has been a four-game champion, amassing a total of $53,999 in winnings.

Jeopardy! Continues Amidst Writers’ Strike
