This Australian Comic Predicted Academia’s Woke Insanity – 7 Years Ago

It is said that the best satire often arrives well ahead of its time.

The film “Idiocracy” by Mike Judge was initially a box office failure, but it now serves as a damning critique of our age of ignorance.

The TV show “South Park” has some episodes that are even more relevant today than they were when the show first aired over 10 years ago. For instance, the show has addressed subjects such as transgenderism and woke culture in academia which seem as though they were written just yesterday.

Another example is the short film “Modern Educayshun” by Australian comedian Neel Kolhatkar.

Kolhatkar wrote and directed the video which takes us to a math class that seems ordinary. However, things are not as they appear.

“Modern Educayshun” highlights an Orwellian school where facts are regarded as offensive and privilege is deemed the primary virtue.

Does the film appear prescient?

This clip was released 7 years ago and has earned 19 million views over that time period.

Kolhatkar, who is also one of the main actors, plays a student entering a class in progress who is confounded by both his teacher and his classmates. The teacher asks basic math questions that even a first-grader could answer, and the protagonist answers them correctly. However, he is incorrect according to his teacher and classmates.

The situation quickly deteriorates, and the other students accuse him of using “violent” words. They are more than happy to shut him up physically before he utters another fact.

While antifa’s bricks and stones are different, according to them, words are regarded as violence.

The video boasts strong production values, skillful performances, and combines laughter with chills.

We can only hope that in another 7 years “Modern Educayshun” will be perceived as simply light-hearted entertainment, serving as a reminder of how far society had fallen previously, before sanity returned to the culture.
