The Weird Life Of A Transgender Triple Murderer Likely To Land In A Women’s Prison

Activists fighting for women’s rights are worried that a transgender individual who was convicted of a triple murder will be placed in a female prison when sentenced in June of this year. Dana Rivers, previously known as David Warfield, age 67, was convicted in November 2022 for the murder of Charlotte Reed and Patricia Wright, a lesbian couple in their late fifties, and their 19-year-old son, Benny Diambu-Wright, in Oakland in 2016, before walking out of the house covered in blood and bullets.

Rivers was accused of forcefully killing the three individuals then dousing the garage with gasoline and setting it on fire to get rid of the evidence.

The prisoner is expected to request housing a woman’s prison after his sentencing in June and with California being lenient on allowing trans-identifying male inmates to be incarcerated in women’s facilities, due to 47 male inmates being accommodated in these prisons since 2021. Nonetheless, female prisoners raped by fellow trans-identifying male inmates have sued the California prison system. Women who silently demonstrated against Rivers’ transfer to a female facility in December 2022 were violently attacked by black-clad transgender activists.

In 1999, David Warfield was fired from his teaching position at Center High School, north of Sacramento, after he talked to students about his plans to undergo a sex change. Rivers sued Center High School after his dismissal, which caused him to receive worldwide attention. Rivers was once a transgender activist before he became an enforcer for a female outlaw motorcycle club known as the Deviants, according to prosecutors in Rivers’ triple murder case. One of the murdered women was a prior member of this club. Rivers will be sentenced in June after the women advocates for female-only prisons do not plan to drop his case.
