The Chosen allowed to film despite writers’ and actors’ strike.

The ‌Chosen ‌Television⁢ Series ‍Granted Waiver to ⁤Continue ‌Filming

The Chosen television series, a crowdfunded show that ⁢delves ‌into the ⁤life of Jesus ‍Christ,‌ has received exciting news amidst the ‍ongoing‍ writers’ and⁢ actors’ ‍strike in Hollywood. Despite many⁣ other ⁣productions⁢ being forced‍ to halt, The Chosen has been granted⁢ a waiver ⁢from ‍the Screen⁢ Actors Guild, allowing them to continue‍ filming ‍their next season.

“Great‌ news! We⁤ just⁣ received word‌ from SAG that we have been approved for ‍a waiver.⁢ We’ll continue‌ shooting on ⁢Monday,” the‍ show announced on social media.

The Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio⁢ Artists has ‌made ⁢it known that they are ⁢willing to grant waivers to⁤ independent productions that sign “interim ⁢agreements” with the union. The terms of ⁣these agreements may vary ⁢for ⁢smaller budget⁢ projects. The‌ Chosen, currently in ⁢the ⁣midst of filming its fourth season, has stated that they ⁤have agreed to‍ all of SAG’s requests. It’s ⁤worth⁣ noting that the‌ fourth season is entirely independent and funded solely by ⁢donations, just ⁤like its ⁣predecessors.

A Global Phenomenon

The Chosen has ‌captivated over 110 million viewers across 175‌ countries, and its creators have ambitious plans to make the show available in 600 languages. Lionsgate, the renowned ‌studio ‌and distributor⁢ behind the⁤ movie Jesus ⁣Revolution, recently acquired the worldwide sub-licensing distribution⁤ rights ⁤to The⁤ Chosen. ⁤As‍ a result, the first‍ three seasons will soon‍ be ⁣airing ⁤on The CW, reaching an even‌ wider ⁢audience.

The writers’ ‍and actors’⁣ strike ⁢has had‍ a significant impact⁢ on the entertainment industry, causing delays⁣ in the production⁣ of various ⁣movies and television shows.⁢ Notable ⁣examples include Deadpool ‍3 and Netflix’s Cobra⁤ Kai. Barry Diller, former CEO of Paramount Pictures, has expressed concerns⁣ about ⁢the potential “devastating effects” if the ⁢strikes ⁤are⁤ not resolved promptly.

Despite these challenges, The Chosen remains steadfast in its mission to bring ⁣the story of Jesus ‌Christ ⁤to screens around the world. ⁤With the waiver in ‍hand, the show ⁤will continue to inspire and touch ⁤the‍ hearts of viewers everywhere.
