Teacher resigns after taping 11-year-old’s mouth

The North Carolina teacher in charge officially resigned after a photo of an 11-year-old boy with his head taped shut surfaced.
On February 13th, the 11-year-old sent his mother, Catherine Webster, a portrait from his sixth-grade school at Smithfield Middle School. After allegedly being too loud during class, he was seen in the picture with many strands of colored painter’s tape wrapped around his lips. Later, she had a conversation with WRAL TV.
Her son was” humiliated ,” according to Webster, and she” didn’t know what to do.”
According to reports, the sixth-grader was taped up at the beginning of class and” forced to sit through the entire length like that.” Additionally, on the same day, two other classmates went through a similar struggle.
I was unaware that his classroom was a problem for her because she never again called me to explore his conduct, according to Webster.
The child was so enraged by this that she called the school’s administration right away.
The college administrators stated in a statement that” we can verify that whenever for allegations arise, our management responds quickly by investigating the allegations and, occasionally, by removing personnel from classrooms pending completion of an extensive review.”
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office looked into a number of additional allegations made against the professor, but after speaking with the city attorney, it was decided that an assault charge was unnecessary.
It is still unknown who the subject’s instructor is.
