Stimulus update: Direct payment worth up to $400 to be paid to Massachusetts residents in 29 days

Recipients of a food and utility subsidy program in Chelsea, Massachusetts, will receive their final payment from the program next month.

On May 15, 738 chosen households will receive these payments, which will range in price from$ 200 to$ 400. The Chelsea Eats program’s’s capital are intended to cover meals and utility bills. The money may become loaded on recipients’ debit cards, which were issued in early March, according to a Chelsea neighborhood voice to the Washington Examiner.

The number of individuals in the home determines the amount that is issued. According to the program’s’s website, a household of one will receive$ 200, one of two will get$ 300, and three or more households get$ 400.

Communities had to reside in Chelsea with a family income of 30 % below the area median in order to be eligible. To be a part of the program, communities of one would need to earn less than$ 29, 450, and families of two may require less to$ 33,650. For each other member of the household, the level rose.

This payment is the program’s’s next and last one. The initial payment was made on March 15 and the next one on April 15.

The Washington Examiner was informed by the spokeswoman that the program had end following this new payment.
