Stimulus update: Direct $500 payments for more than 300 families to be sent in 24 days

Families receiving money from a guaranteed income program in California will receive their next payment of $500 in 24 days.

Sonoma County selected 305 families to receive $500 every month for two years as part of its Pathway to Income Equity program, and the next payment is scheduled for April 19.

45 percent of families are providing financial aid to their dependent kids.

According to the Sonoma County Administrator’s Office, authorities did research how the extra income affects lowering poverty and fostering financial flexibility for families with young children.

The Washington Examiner was informed by Angie Dillon – Shore, chairman of the nonprofit organization First 5 Sonoma County, that recipients would receive these expenses on the fourth Wednesday of each month and that the final payment may be made in December 2024.

According to Chris Coursey, chairman of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors,” these payments will help families with young children who are frequently struggling under the double burden of high costs of housing and child care— typically the two highest household expenses.” Ambitious initiatives to enhance the health and welfare of our nation may be shaped by the knowledge we learn from this pilot course.
