The annual application period for the program will be open from January 1, 2024, to March 31, 2024. To be eligible, you must intend to remain a resident of Alaska indefinitely and have no criminal convictions, among other requirements.
Applying is easy! You can fill out your application online or through a paper form. Remember, even if you’ve received a payment in the past, you must apply during the application window to receive your annual payment.
But hurry! The deadline is March 31, 2024. However, if you miss the deadline, there may still be a chance for an exemption past the regular application period. You can also check the status of your application on our website.
The amount you receive from the Permanent Fund Dividend varies each year. In 2023, eligible residents received checks worth an impressive $1,312, which were sent out in October.
“This year, we processed over 8,000 more applications than in 2022,” said Alaska Department of Revenue Commissioner Adam Crum. “The 2023 PFD will inject nearly $1 billion into the state’s economy and directly into the hands of Alaskans.”
